This weekend is Bend Summerfest downtown! It also appears that the temperature of the Deschutes river is finally tolerable for floating. Head on down!

A fine summer weekened if there ever was one.

Friday: First Friday art walk is up first, including a rare showing by Deschutes Brewery who will have an outdoor bbq and beer garden.

Saturday: Breedlove Festival. Breedlove Guitars in Bend is hosting the event with lots of live music, food, and beer. Click Here for info

Sunday: July 4th folks! Pet parade downtown in the AM. Festivities at Drake Park (I'll be there with a booth signing books!) and then an afternoon of bike cruising, bbqing, fine beers and good friends. Fireworks off the butte when the sun goes down. Bonus finale if the butte catches fire.

Busy weekend indeed. First up is the Bite of Bend event, a perennial favorite, taking over downtown with tasty food, music, and more.

Next we've got the US Cycling Road Elite Nationals, running from Wednesday onward.

Finally, Deschutes Brewery's Anniversary party.

Of course, there's also plenty of other great things to do, especially with the weather sitting nicely at 80. For example, maybe catch a Bend Elks game? Enjoy the weekend!

This Saturday is Sisters Wine and Brew Festival. It's nowhere as epic as the Bend equivelent, but admission is FREE and the vibe is nice and local.
