So this weekend is the National Cyclocross championships in Bend! It's a huge event, and we are also the host city for next year's race as well. Location: Deschutes Brewery lawn, The Old Mill, Les Schwab Ampitheter area. Races will go from Thursday through Sunday, with the Elite races on Sunday. Deschutes also has a beer garden and food tent, as well as a large vendor expo. Go check it out!

Last weekend's FallFest was cut short by a freak blizzard that crumpled tents and kept the crowds at home. Too bad.
This weekend coming up is the 6th Annual BendFilm Festival! This is rain-or-shine! Regal Old Mill, McMenamins, Tower Theater, and Sisters Movie House (new to this year) are the locations. Visit http://www.bendfilm.org/ for tickets, movies, showtimes, etc.
Thursday October 8th-Sunday October 11th
Also, a quick update on All Around Bend books. The second printing/edition books will be available by the end of October! I'll be re-posting a list of stores that will carry it soon. |

Okay, so this weekend is Bend's FallFest downtown. Packed with vendors, food, beer, live music and fun kid stuff like hay mazes, apple bobbing, face and pumpkin paiting, etc.
Also some book news for you all: The printer has my second edition and will be printing off my proof this week. Expect All Around Bend to be back on store shelves by the end of the month. I'll post later about some of the new features and content in this next edition. |

A busy weekend in Bend! First up is Bend Oktoberfest, downtown Friday and Saturday. Wiener dog races, family activites, yodeling, and plenty of good brews.
The other big event is the Bend Roots Revival, at the corner of 14th and Galveston (Victorian Cafe and Parilla Grill) and features more than 70, yes I said 70, local musicians and bands. More subdued shows inside Parilla and bigger acts in the Victorian Cafe parking lot. Brews and food here too.
John and his Green Energy Transport/Bike will be shuttling folks around, so enjoy yourselves and make sure to stop by both!

I am now sold out of the first printing of All Around Bend! A few copies may still be floating around, so check Bend Visitor Bureau, REI, or some small local bookstores.
For the second printing i'll be doing some minor changes, so expect a slick update, not just a boring ole reprint!
Thanks to everyone who has bought a copy of my book!
